Visit to Feed My Starving Children - May, 2015
Pictures from Holy Spirit’s most recent attendance at Feed My Starving Children. This was also a ‘servant activity’ for the 2014/15 Confirmation year.  Pastor Manwell's entire confirmation class and parents were a part of this event. The evening concluded with pizza at the church.

Dare2Share 2010
For the third year in a row the Manwells and the youth group of Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit hosted a group of youth from Pineview Mennonite Church, Vassar MI, for the Dare2Share youth conference--held Friday Mar 19th and Saturday Mar 20th.
Dare2Share (http://www.dare2share.org/) is a non-denominational 2 day program for Christian youth including skits, concerts, encouragement and fellowship. The goal is to show Christian teens that they are not alone and to encourage them to "dare" to share their faith with others. Dare2Share has yearly events all over the USA.  During these two days the late evenings and early mornings get a bit crowded around the Manwell house--this year's group included 12 teens and 3 adults--but it's safe to say that a good time was had by all. More importantly, everyone--youth and leaders alike--agreed that the conference and activities were spiritually uplifting and faith-strengthening. Pineview's group (and guests) were led by Nick Seney and adult chaperones Gary & Dorothy. LCHS's youth were led by Mike Govert & John Piccoli.

McDonalds McHappy Week Volunteers
P4P Operation World Christmas was amazing!  Nov 15th started early for P4P.  A team of McDonald’s employees arrived at 9 am to help set up for P4P packing night.  The McDonald’s team of 6 people led by Sheila Young set up our tables and brought out every item from our storage area.  They organized the magazines and grouped items into sections so that our packers would not need to search out items while packing.  Then the team gift wrapped at least a hundred small items such as mini flashlights, playing cards, candy toys, small knives, and personal hygiene kits.  The team also sorted and bagged Christmas cards for the soldiers to send to their families.  We are calling them the McHappy P4P team.  McHappy P4P team sure gave Operation World Christmas a boost.  They also brought items to supplement our supplies to ship to our Patriots.  We are so blessed to have the McHappy team with us.
