 The people of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit greet you in peace and with blessing. We offer a traditional Lutheran worship service on Sunday morning along with Christian educational opportunities for all. On Thursday evenings we offer a casual service. All baptized Christians who believe His body and blood are present in the bread and wine of Holy Communion are welcome at His table.

LCHS Will Hold its First Community Wide Garage Sale on
SATURDAY OCTOBER 2, 2010
-We need volunteers to help out with various tasks
-We need children and adult hangers for the sale
-We need clothes racks for the sale
-We need shopping bags & grocery bags
-MOST IMPORTANTLY WE NEED DONATIONS

Packages 4 Patriots
a LCHS community event
September 21, 2010 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Join us when we fill USPS Military Priority boxes to be sent to soldiers you know or names that we can supply. The soldiers need toiletries, magazines, baby wipes, treats (no chocolate in the summer), microwave foods, Hostess "anything", your letters, DVD's, Chapstick, puzzles, paperbacks, etc.
-We will help with filling out the customs form.
-You bring $12 for postage per box.
-We print the shipping online.
-USPS will pick up your boxes.
-We will have some items available to help fill your box; AT&T phone cards, sunglasses, drink mixes.
-We supply the forms and boxes.

Spread the Spirit! 
The SPIRIT is with US!
As Spring approaches and our personal spirits are renewed so is our campaign.
We welcome Lori Solyom who recently joined our staff. Lori will be a dynamic force in moving our campaign forward. Lori posesses a well rounded background with experience in outreach, marketing and fundraising.
As the saying goes, you can't expect different results if you continue to perform the same actions...its time to take a different approach and move forward.

Understanding your Grief
Grief is common to all of us as humans. This year our Stephen Ministry Team will be reading and discussing a book by Dr. Alan Wolfelt on the subject of personal grief. Dr. Wolfelt has a particular gift regarding helping individuals understanding of grief.
One of Dr. Wolfelt's book is so powerful that the Stephen Ministry Team recommends everyone should read the book.
